  • communicate with your customers through the page directly
  • see stats on your sales, visits, and more

What do you need to build a Facebook shop? 

Everyone can begin marketing their products on facebook almost immediately. All you need is a Facebook account and a Facebook business page. 

Let’s set up a shop! 

  1. Check to see if you have access to the shop section 

This will appear on the left-hand sidebar of your business page. Once you click a prompt will appear asking you to agree to the seller’s terms and policies, it’s important to read through these, as it will contain important info about what you can sell and how to handle any problems.

  1. Select checkout method 

Once you agree to the terms and policies, you can select the type of checkout you prefer. There are two checkout methods on Facebook – message to buy and check out on another website. Message to Buy means that a buyer will be able to purchase the product by sending you a message. The other option allows you to send people to other e-commerce websites, from where they will complete their purchases.

  1. Describe your products and start filling out your shop

After you’ve added a little description of what you’re going to sell, you can add your first product. This is doable only from your computer and you can only sell physical products. All the way through adding products you’ll see super user-friendly instructions, making the process as simple as possible. The main things are adding a photo, name, price, description, and visibility of your product. 

TOP TIP: the best dimensions for a shop is a square image; 1024 x 1024 pixels. 

  1. Share share share!

It’s not enough to simply have a Facebook shop. You need to constantly be updating your stock, adding products and changing prices to suit. It’s also super important that you shout about the products you sell through posting on your business page.
